Stockholm Steelband is Scandinavia’s largest and most established steel pan orchestra. With a career stretching back to 1984 and performances at everything from the Nobel Banquet to TV4 Morning News, they are the natural choice for events seeking color, joy, and professionalism.
Authentic Caribbean Atmosphere
The band consists of 15–20 professional musicians playing handmade steel pans – from the bright Tenor Pan to the deep Bass Pan. This creates an unmistakable sound that brings the Caribbean directly to Sweden, spreading sunshine even on a rainy day.
Completely Acoustic & Weatherproof
One of the great advantages of Stockholm Steelband is that they perform completely acoustically. No electricity is needed, and there are no cables to run. This makes them perfect for:
- Outdoor Events & Inaugurations: They can perform in parks, squares, or on the beach.
- Summer Mingles: The music creates a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere.
- Mobile Events: They require minimal setup space and can easily move around.
Repertoire
The music is a vibrant mix of traditional Calypso and Soca from Trinidad & Tobago, as well as modern pop, reggae, and soul hits. It is impossible to sit still!
