Scandinavian bluegrass that gets the dance floor moving

SEND INQUIRY

Fat Moose is a new name on the Scandinavian bluegrass scene, but the members are anything but beginners. Jens Koch (banjo), Erik Igelström (mandolin), and Jimmy Sunnebrandt (bass) were previously part of the band G2, which made a significant impact in both Europe and the USA. Eight years later, they have reunited in a new constellation with guitarist and vocalist Erik Lund.

Tradition Meets Innovation

Together they share a deep appreciation for both traditional and modern bluegrass. With influences from legends like Tony Rice and Earl Scruggs as well as modern artists, Fat Moose offers a combination of tradition and innovation.

International Performances

Despite being a new constellation, Fat Moose has already made acclaimed appearances at festivals in Sweden, Finland, and Denmark. During the memorial concert “Together for a Better Day” honoring Avicii at Globen in 2023, Fat Moose backed none other than Dan Tyminski as he performed “Hey Brother.”
